cool

kinda.... hardstylish. Some of the main melody sounds a little too... detuned? it sounds like a more upbeat-type song, but then it kinda changes from a major scale to a minor scale... I guess? I might no even know what I'm talking about, but maybe you can understand :D

anyway good job.

MisterJayElectro responds:

I know what you mean, that saw at the beginning was a little off. This was a cheap song made on a cheap computer, and I had a lot of fun making it, but I know what you mean about the errors. Maybe someday I'll fix it. But probably not. Thanks for the review!!! And the advice, I always love advice :D

cool

I hardly ever rate anything 5/5 / 10/10, but this totally deserves it. well done.

pretty cool

Not much else to say. it was almost a perfect song for... whatever game it is that your making. anyway, it was an interesting combination of a warlike-march type beat, a sad melody, and a happy rythem.

Thanks for taking the time to comment :)

cool

I've never heard the original, so I can't give an accurate rating for it, but since I don't know what it's supposed to be, It sounded good to me :)

pretty cool

I can't do much better even when I take more then my 4 hour song-making-time-limit I gave myself. I do that because that teaches me how to make it really efficiently and fast.

overall, it didn't get too boring through the whole thing. some minor mistakes were in it, but it was still pretty cool, but my only real complaint is that it is too short, because when I see a song that is less then 1:30, It seems to me like they ran out of rhythms/melodies and were to lazy to continue (mainly because of how short it is).

anyway, good job. was really energetic and upbeat.

DjRubix responds:

I had fun making this, it does feel incomplete at the moment, but i'll deal with it another time

um...

pretty cool. sounded kinda like rammstein with... worse everything... I guess? anyway was still pretty cool for sounding bad.

Petronix responds:

I also noticed that song look similar to Rammstein, but I do not listen to them :)
Thanks for comment.

wtf?

that wasn't even dubstep. I don't know what I heard, but it wasn't dubstep.

It was too... random? and had no flow to it. and nothing fit together. nice try, but sounds like something I might make in 1 minute.

rasteexXxuss responds:

Exactly. I took about 4 minutes to make it. Lol i should really take some time. I don't have a lot though... :/

really cool 0_0

I wish I could make music like that. maybe if I put time and effort into my songs, they could turn out better?

how long do you work on your songs (on average) in hours?

stephenstripling responds:

It's hard to say how long I spend, because it varies from song to song. Sometimes it could take me a week, sometimes about 2 days. I would definitely say keep practicing. I've been at this for almost 3 years, and it consumes a lot of my free time. If you're really passionate about something, you'll put a lot of time and effort in to it. Thanks for the review!

cool

sounds like one of those slo-mo songs in sports movies... or something like that.

it's really cool, regardless of what It sounds like :) I give yo props man.

stephenstripling responds:

Thanks a lot bro!

sorry...

sorry I gave it such a low score, but it lost it's touch after the first 25 seconds of "chill chill, what what" ing, and that is why I gave it such a low score

TjA responds:

Erm... the words are Zero, One. Hence the lyrics being 01110 etcetera. It's binary for "Robot Day", since robots would communicate in binary it seemed appropriate.
As for "losing it's touch" i take it as you digressed after 25 seconds of listening. As i mentioned, i had another piece ready for this but it became corrupt. I even used my old drum patterns from my previous songs in this. That's how rushed it was. It lacked any major changes throughout, though it was minimal piece, there is a degree of repetitiveness one can withstand. (unless your a daft punk fan that is, heh).
As for apologising for the low score, it's unessential. I know this isn't an amazing piece, i'm just writing this so you (and others who may see this) will understand my view on why this is like it is. Five hours of MP3 errors (and the fact NG only supports MP3) made it so i could only upload a VERY LOW quality version of the audio. Trust me it makes a difference, it sounds very... flat in low quality and the minor tweaks of frequencies are not in the low quality version.
Thank you for being honest. It helps me to improve and provide better works as a whole.
