pretty good.

though what kind of house is this? it borders trance IMO, but whatever. still cool either way.

I gave it 5/5 (because this is fairly good, and to counterbalance anything that could happen to it, just in case... so really a 3.5/5)

SpliceMan responds:

This track sounds more trance than it does actual house. I wish I had more of an ear for house, but I'm more dedicated to the fast-paced beat. Thanks for the review. I was trying to go with progressive house, but progressive I hear, takes a lot longer to build up!

pretty cool

not exactly my style, but it's pretty good. very dark and... ominous perhaps? yet strangely.... interesting. not sure how to describe this one actually 0.o

FaeryTaleAdventurer responds:

That's perhaps one of the reasons I liked this soundfont. It's richness in its darkness, to perhaps being somewhere underground, like a sewer or cave. I thought about keeping it mostly dark, by hanging around in the lower octaves, but as I was making it, I felt that it needed some brightness to it, to give it a melancholy feel at best.

Good to know that it has a mysterious feel to it.

Thanks for reviewing!

isn't this more of house...?

still good either way.

DreamEater responds:

yeah it is, but this track made platinum before I got a chance to change it... It's stuck here now ><.
Thanks so much for the review bud, I am really glad you enjoyed my submission :p

It's okay, better then the 2.3 you had at least. pretty catchy though. I kinda like it. a bit strange sounding though...

GrayZ responds:

thanks man :)

cools, I like it.

like the other guy said, it did get a bit messed up at 0:14.

great otherwise BTW.

Eteocles responds:

But would you have noticed if he didn't say anything? ;)

Thanks though man! It's pretty crappy compared to a lot of my newer stuff hehe

not techno in any way at all...

still a 7 for a great ambient piece though. a bit to slow and... boring for techno though. the title is very misleading in the sense of it not actually being techno...

FYI, not all electronic music is considered techno, this falls somewhere between ambient and trance... either would be a good genre for it.

I think that the sounds are a bit to generic, maybe get different hihat sounds? they sound to plain. i would also suggest adding a bit of distortion to the kick, and making the snare/clap thing a bit lower.

also, an okay use of vst's, but still could've had a different sound to it, maybe less 8-bity in general? idk. IMO, just get a more modern sound that ties together better. also, the hihats are WAY to loud in the beggining, think about mastering that a little better. I think that the part where the lower synth comes comes in should be lots quiter too. in general, mix it a little better. some parts stand out more then I think are welcome.

and If you wanted it to have this sound and thinks it's perfect, then good for you, you accomplished what you wanted..

still a great little ambienty-trance loop though.

Dumami responds:

Thanks for the throurough review, I'm actually kind of new to FL Studio and unfortunately I'm stuck with this generic sound until I learn how to use cubase correctly. I'm working on fixing some of the mastering as you said the highhats ARE too loud, after listening to this a bit I started to hear all of these things sticking out terribly. The original title for this WAS simple trance but I don't know why I typed techno. Again, thanks for the review, I appreciate it

epic

this is epic, continue.

Sacrafan responds:

Thank you. I haven't played piano in a while. I appreciate the review.

And I will, just because of you. Well. And that guy up there.

awesome!

Ilike it :D, not much you could change to make it better.

habon responds:

Thanks ;)

megaman-esque?

sounds very much like something out of megaman :D

what vst's do you use for the... arp synth I guess don't know what else to call it very clear @ 0:31?

B0UNC3 responds:

oh shi- late reply.... Everything was made with 3xosc in fl studio, so any subtractive synthesizer could make them :)

pretty good.

I think you could have harmonized the lead synth with the bass synth a little better though ;)

also, work on that beat. sound very generic. the piano part felt like it was lacking a bit much though, because it had built up into something lesser then it was before, giving a false sense of ... direction? I'm not sure what the word is...

maybe you should work on not throwing everything out at once and leaving nothing left for the rest of it.

you could also place the piano at the beginning and build up into the synth part, because when I play through it enough, it sounds like the piano goes first, then drums kick in with synth ;) sounds more natural.

If you don't get what I'm talking abou, then don't worry...

and if the piano part isn't the end then you can keep it there, but I think for the time being that the piano would better fit in the intro.

thats just IMO though, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about XD.

asddaw responds:

Thanks for the great reply!! :)

Yes, right now i'm more or less building a structure, what I will fill it with I really dont know yet!

I have a new version up, called "bombobobombom", wich is more or less 5 minutes long, I included everything I've made in the track there, maybe it sounds better?
It still lacks something that I cant put a finger on, maybe your better at that? ;)

Just a guy Making some music. Don't mind me.
